INAUGURATION OF DON BOSCO SPORTS HUB – SPORTS FOR CHANGE!

The Sports Hub at Don Bosco Central School, Kattappana, was inaugurated on 1st March 2025, marking a major step in using sports as a tool for empowerment, inspiration, and transformation.
Rev. Fr. Joy Nedumparambil SDB, the Economer of Don Bosco Bangalore Province, officially inaugurated the Sports Hub.
The various academies were inaugurated by:
🏀 Basketball Academy – Dr. Prince K Mattam (FIBA Referees Commissioner & Former General Secretary, KBA)
⚽ Football Academy – Mr. P A Salimkutty (President, Idukki Dist. Football Association & Former Santhosh Trophy Player)
🏓 Table Tennis Academy – Mr. Joseph Chacko (International Umpire, Table Tennis)
🏸 Badminton Academy – Mr. Sunny Xavier (PTA President, DBCS)
The event featured a thrilling Grand Basketball Match.

സ്പോർട്സ് ഒരു വിനോദം മാത്രമല്ല, സമൂഹത്തിൽ ക്രിയാത്മക മാറ്റം സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്ന ശക്തിയുമാണ്. ഡോൺ ബോസ്കോ സ്പോർട്സ് ഹബ് ഈ ദൗത്യവുമായി മുന്നോട്ട് കടക്കുകയാണ്. മൊബൈൽ ആഡിക്ഷന്റെയും മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള ലഹരി വസ്തുക്കളുടെ ദുരുപയോഗത്തിലും വീഴുന്ന പുതുതലമുറയെ മോചിപ്പിച്ച്, പഠന നിലവാരം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുകയും,യുവാക്കളെ സ്പോർട്സ് അധിഷ്ഠിത തൊഴിൽ സാധ്യതകളിലേക്ക് നയിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുകയാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ പ്രധാന ലക്ഷ്യം.
